De poster toont Jim Carrey als Dr. Robotnik en Lee Majdoub als Agent Stone, geïnspireerd door de film Four Christmases. Naast de poster heeft Paramount onlangs twee nieuwe clips en een trailer onthuld, waarin de antagonist Shadow, ingesproken door Keanu Reeves, een wapen gebruikt. Shadow blijkt een geduchte tegenstander voor Sonic, Knuckles en Tails. De cast bevat ook James Marsden en Tika Sumpter, met regisseur Jeff Fowler die terugkeert.
