Europa krijgt Fortnite terug op iOS
Jan 25, 2024 9:12 PMEpic Games heeft bekendgemaakt dat Fortnite binnenkort terugkeert naar iOS in Europa, dankzij de Digital Markets Act en nieuwe EU App Store-beleidswijzigingen. Sinds de verwijdering uit de App Store in 2020 kunnen Europese iOS-gebruikers binnenkort apps downloaden via derde partijen zoals de Epic Games Store. Dit is een gevolg van Apple's herziene beleid om aan EU-regelgevers tegemoet te komen. Fortnite was voorheen enkel te spelen via streamingsdiensten zoals Xbox Cloud Gaming of Nvidia GeForce Now op mobiele apparaten. De terugkeer van Fortnite naar iOS toont de ambitie van Epic Games om van de Epic Games Store de belangrijkste multiplatform softwarewinkel te maken.
