Nieuwe MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE film in de maak bij Amazon met regisseur van BUMBLEBEE

Na een gestaakt project bij Netflix heeft Mattel samen met Amazon MGM Studios een release gepland voor 5 juni 2026. Travis Knight, bekend van 'Kubo and the Two Strings' en 'Bumblebee', is aangekondigd als regisseur, met Chris Butler als scriptschrijver. Het verhaal zal gaan over een 10-jarige Prins Adam die na een scheiding van zijn magische Power Sword uiteindelijk terugkeert naar zijn thuisplaneet Eternia om de strijd aan te gaan tegen Skeletor. Het project, dat eerder vastliep bij Netflix, lijkt nu dus serieuze vormen aan te nemen met een geplande grote zomerrelease.
