Nintendo hint naar nieuwe console in juni Direct
May 07, 2024 1:54 PMNintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa heeft bevestigd dat er een opvolger van de Nintendo Switch in ontwikkeling is, maar er zijn nog geen plannen om de nieuwe console binnenkort te bespreken. Hoewel er slechts gesproken werd over de 'opvolger van de Nintendo Switch', zullen we het voorlopig Switch 2 blijven noemen totdat de officiële naam bekend is. Aankondigingen over de nieuwe console worden verwacht binnen dit fiscale jaar, wat betekent dat het elk moment kan gebeuren tot 31 maart 2025. Daarnaast is er een Nintendo Direct aangekondigd voor juni, waarbij de focus zal liggen op Switch-games die in de tweede helft van 2024 uitkomen, niet op de nieuwe console. Als Nintendo de Switch 2 uiteindelijk aankondigt, is het meer dan negen jaar geleden dat de oorspronkelijke Nintendo Switch werd onthuld in maart 2015.
